Gary Nunnally, high school teacher, documented his use of the recommendations in One Teacher at a Time, decided that this year instead of asking students to borrow notes when they missed class he would make DVDs of all of his lectures so the students could check out the DVD and take their own notes. On another note, our tech guys have it worked out and now students are accessing my lecture through their computers at home or in our computer lab. Also, on Tuesday I did something that seems really weird, but it worked. I have a student in my 2nd period who is struggling taking notes. So....I recorded my lecture 1st period and then instead of giving the lecture again 2nd period, I played it on the screen for them while I sat next to the struggling student and helped him learn how to take better notes...
